Leon is now in his third season with the Club having joined from Crystal Palace during the 2007/08 promotion campaign.
The 29-year-old originally joined City on a two-month loan from the Eagles in November 2007 and impressed Tony Pulis enough to earn a permanent £1,200,000 transfer in January 2008 and become the Club's then-record signing.
Leon found his opportunities limited due to the form of Ryan Shawcross and Abdoulaye Faye last season - he made just nine league appearances - but the big defender still played a crucial role in keeping the Club in the Premier League.
