Diamanti eager to lift Hammers

Gianfranco Zola's side have not won since the first day of the season against Wolverhampton Wanderers, and currently lie in 19th place.

However, there have been signs of a resurgence with 2-2 draws against Arsenal and Sunderland in the last two weeks.

Diamanti, who has scored two penalties since joining the club in the summer from Livorno, is eager to help the club out of its current predicament.

"I'm not worried by the start we've had, just sorry for the fans and my team-mates,"  said the striker.

"Every day we train very hard and we give everything. The results have not been so good but I am confident we can do well."
